National Science Museum (NSM)

The National Science Museum is a state enterprise under the Ministry of Science and Technology. NSM was first established in 1995 by Royal decree to commemorate Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's 60th birthday.

NSM aims to be an organization that promotes a live-long learning in Science and Technology. The administration is under the guidance of the National Science Museum Committee appointed by the cabinet.

Functions
1. To promote science and technology through edutaining exhibitions and education programs, and inform the public of the new innovations in science and technology.
2. To collect artifacts, classify, record, and conserve scientific inventions, and promote research work for the benefit of research study and technical development for both public and private agencies.
3. To serve as an academic information center by providing information about museums of science and technology to the public and co-operate with both domestic and international museums/centers in various activities aimed at further development of science museum.
